In the [[ATLAS]] collaboration, '''combined performance groups''' ('''CP groups''' or '''CPG'''s) are mainly responsible for providing algorithms for [[reconstruction]], [[identification]], and measurement of physics objects. The tools and methods developed by the CP groups are provided to the ATLAS [[analysis]] teams in the form of software, instructions, and recommendations. The CP groups also study and provide information about the performance of their tools, such as validity ranges, [[efficiency|efficiencies]] and [[scale factor|scale factors]].

In a wider sense, the ATLAS groups providing such things as [[event simulation]], [[Statistics|statistical methods]], and [[machine learning]] are also sometimes called CP groups.
