Jargon is a particular language that is used within a group and may not be well understood outside of it. In particular, it often reserves a special meaning for words that have a different meaning outside of the group.
One aim of Hepman is to create a page where jargon is explained and translated to expressions that are more suitable for an audience that is less specialised in the particular topic.
